Jennifer Colby, LCSW, is a geriatric clinical social worker with a specialization in geriatric psychiatry. She has maintained a private practice serving the psychiatric needs of older adults and their families since 2018. Her practice includes working with people who have behavioral challenges due to cognitive issues (dementia), mood disorders such as depression or anxiety, or psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. She also maintains a care management practice where she works with families and professionals to problem solve particularly difficult cases. These include placement issues for older adults with challenges, guardianship proceedings, and accessing appropriate medical treatment.
Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Chicago. She also lectures at institutions such as Columbia University and Fordham University. In her spare time, she writes, plays music, and volunteers with the Humane Society of Westchester.
